“May Dolls” are guardian deities displayed on May 5th, the Boys’ Festival, to pray for the healthy growth and well-being of boys.
The armor and helmets symbolize the protection of children from illness and disaster.
We invite you to pause and take a look during your visit, and enjoy the charm of Japanese culture as the seasons change.
