Tea ceremony room "Shubien"
The "Shubien" tea ceremony room, with its appearance of overlapping traditional beauty of Kyoto, reminds us of the history of the Azuchi-Momoyama period, a traditional Japanese culture that has been passed down from our predecessors with all the luxuries of the heart and soul. The Japanese-style rooms in the shoin-zukuri and sukiya-zukuri styles boast the appearance of a traditional tea ceremony room. It is a masterpiece constructed by Yasui Mokuzoku, the Kyoto-based company that undertook the Showa-period renovation of Katsura Rikyu.
